In Christ’s model prayer of Matthew 6: 10. It admonishes us to pray “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”
If there was a time for us to pray earnestly for the Kingdom of God to be established on Earth, that time is now. One could also argue that the opportune time could be any time in what appears to be the closing days of human history. Nevertheless, the reality is we must keep praying for God’s kingdom to be established sooner, rather than later.
The temperature of the earth is warming, hence global warming; our climatic conditions are making adjustments, hence climate change. All these alterations do not augur well for the future of the planet.
Our planet remains in the grips of a pandemic, although there are signs that it is crawling out slowly. Notwithstanding that, COVID-19 is just a warming up of more to come, and more dangerous ones, too. We better start bracing for them. Yes, the world will soon forget about COVID-19, but remember it is only the beginning of more to come, if you believe and accept the Word of God.
What we see from Matt. 24, Luke 21 and Mark 13, Rev. 5 onwards, are not brighter days ahead for this planet, or the universe for that matter; it’s perilous times, destructive times and cataclysmic events that will shake the universe!
While the sceptics easily dismiss this as fiction or from the movies, their position won’t change a thing. The prophecies of the Bible will fulfill, as they have been doing from day one. Time will tell. Their outright rejection of the God of the Bible means nothing. The prophecies are as accurate as can be.
“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father,” Phil. 2:6-10. That time is coming, too, whether they like it or not when they will have to bow to King Jesus!
Romans 14: 11, “For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.”
There are some people who will never repent or bow before the Eternal, even when they see Christ coming in the clouds. Even when they are surrounded by the wrath of God, they will refuse to repent. Rev. 9:20 says, “The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk, 21 nor did they repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.”
For those of us whom God has called, have repented of our sins and have surrendered our lives to Him, we must thank God we will be counted worthy to be protected by the hands of the Almighty when these severe and destructive trials come upon the Earth, as prophesied in Revelation. Praise God that He sent His only begotten Son Jesus, the Christ, to die for our sins. He accomplished His mission and now we in the Body of Christ are kingdom bound.
